KWES-TV, in Midland, TX, has an immediate opening for a News Anchor to write, produce, and gather information for the newscasts. Responsibilities include prepare, write, and edit scripts for newscasts, make public appearances, produce newscasts, and occasionally report new stories. Qualified candidate must be a team player with on-air newsroom and leadership experience; have strong verbal and written communication skills; have great storytelling ability, and be familiar with current events at local, state, and national level. A college degree is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
